MESH Terms of Service

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These terms govern your use of MESH, the artist-workspace service at app.meshformusic.com and in our apps, operated by MESH Music Ltd. By using MESH you agree to them.

1. The service, honestly described

MESH is a young, invitation-only service. It works, we care about it, and it is still growing: features change, and despite our best efforts something may occasionally break. We make no promise of uninterrupted availability at this stage.

2. Your account

Access is by invitation. You sign in with codes sent to your email address, so keeping that inbox secure is keeping your MESH account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, and for only inviting people to an artist who should see that artist's data.

You must be at least 18 years old to use MESH. You confirm it by giving your date of birth when you create your account.

3. Your content is yours

Everything you put into MESH (songs, recordings, lyrics, rights records, finances, files, all of it) remains yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service: to store your content, back it up, and display it to you and to the people you have shared the artist with. We claim no other rights in it, and we do not use your content to train anything or market anything.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload.

4. Sharing and roles

Owners and admins manage sharing; editors can add and change band content. Viewers can read band content and manage their own roster marks and profile details, but cannot edit the band's other content or see other roster members' email addresses. Up to ten people besides the owner may be given access per artist; the existing founder sharing exemption is preserved. A roster may contain additional people without granting them account access.

5. Analytics data

Audience and catalogue statistics shown in MESH come from Soundcharts and from public music-platform endpoints, and are provided for viewing inside MESH only. You may not scrape, bulk-export, resell, or republish this data as a dataset. It is third-party data supplied "as is": we do not guarantee its accuracy, and figures may lag or contain gaps the source has not filled.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other users' data, probe or overload the service, reverse-engineer the access controls, or use MESH to store unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Termination

You can stop using MESH and delete your account at any time, yourself in Settings under Your data (Delete my account), or by asking us (support@meshformusic.com). Deleting your account ends any paid plan immediately; what is left of the billing period is not refunded. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, and will give reasonable notice before discontinuing the service, with an opportunity to export your own content.

8. Fees and paid plans

MESH offers paid plans and a single 30-day trial of a plan you choose. There is no ongoing free tier. The app and meshformusic.com/pricing show the artist and shared-storage limits and the price before you choose. Starting a trial requires a payment card. Nothing is charged during the trial; when it ends, the plan continues as a paid subscription at the price shown unless you cancelled before then, and the app says so where you start it.

Your trial starts when you select its tier and enter a card. If you cancel before it ends, or the first charge fails, normal workspace access ends 30 days after the trial started; otherwise the plan is paid from then on and nothing below applies to it. Data created in bands owned by you during that trial is retained for a further 14 days, then scheduled for permanent deletion. Pre-existing bands and bands transferred to another owner are excluded. The app shows the selected tier, the exact trial expiry and the scheduled permanent-deletion date. You can still sign in and open Plans and reactivation after expiry. Subscribe before the deletion date to preserve the retained data and restore access when payment is confirmed. A confirmed paid conversion prevents trial deletion, including if that paid subscription later ends. Deletion may be delayed while a payment is being confirmed or a service failure is resolved; this does not extend trial access. Once deletion completes, a subscription lets you start again but cannot recover deleted data.

Staff and existing testers have separate access grants: up to five artists and 125 GB total shared storage, at no charge, without an expiry date and until revoked. These grants do not run a trial or its deletion clock.

Prices are in US dollars, charged at the start of each monthly or yearly billing period through Stripe. Card details go to Stripe, not MESH. Price changes are announced before they apply. A change to a higher plan or to a different billing period is charged at once for the prorated difference and takes effect when that payment succeeds; a change to a lower plan takes effect at once and the prorated credit appears on your next invoice. You may cancel in the billing portal; access continues until the paid period ends. Payments are not refunded for partial billing periods; when you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and is not renewed. This does not limit any right you have under applicable consumer protection law, including Quebec's Consumer Protection Act. After a paid subscription ends, normal workspace access requires reactivation or an active access grant. Saved data from a converted paid account is not deleted by the trial-cleanup policy. A failed payment prompts you to update your payment method; continued nonpayment can end paid access.

9. Disclaimers and liability

MESH is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim and CAD $50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged in the app with the updated date above. Continuing to use MESH after a change takes effect means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable in it, and disputes belong to the courts of Quebec.

12. Copyright

Upload only what you have the right to store and share with the people on your artist. Do not upload content that infringes someone else's copyright.

Notices. If you believe content stored in MESH infringes your copyright, email privacy@meshformusic.com with: your name and contact details; the work you say is infringed; where the material is in MESH (the artist and the file or page), as precisely as you can; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the right or may act for its owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We act on complete notices promptly, usually by disabling access to the material, and tell the account that uploaded it.

Counter-notices. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, email privacy@meshformusic.com with: your name, address and telephone number; the material and where it was before it was removed; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district of your address (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which MESH may be found) and to accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or their agent; and your signature. Unless the person who sent the notice tells us they have started a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive a complete counter-notice.

Repeat infringers. We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Canada. MESH is a Canadian company. Where Canada's notice-and-notice regime under the Copyright Act applies, we forward a compliant notice to the account holder concerned and keep the records the Act requires; this section does not limit the rights anyone has under Canadian law.
